This is a great list of “positive distractions” but I also think many of these behaviors can be used for self-soothing anytime a person feels anxious, worried, angry or restless.

Would really like a day where I can just sit and write until no more words come out. THIS summer I WILL do this. I MUST do this. I found that it’s therapeutic to write and all this time I forgot how much I used this to cope in high school. No one has to hear your words or ever read them. Type, delete, type, delete or even more satistying…write and burn!
